Youth Workforce Development Program
The Youth Workforce Development Program provides educational planning and employment services including: - Tutoring in reading and writing
- Help with resume building
- Guidance in mastering the interview process
- Assistance with conducting a job search
- Supportive services and counseling
The program also assists youth in finding internships and jobs with area businesses.
Who is eligible for the Youth Workforce Development Program? - Youth ages 17-21 who,
- Have a low-income level and,
- Fall into at least one of the following categories:
- Deficient in basic skills
- School drop out
- Homeless or runaway youth
- Pregnant or parenting youth
- Offender
- Person requiring additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure/hold a job
Informational meetings are held every Tuesday at 4pm at Capital Area Michigan Works, located at: 2110 S. Cedar St. Lansing, MI 48910
